Geometric Expansion

Vernon God Little by DBC Pierre

Around him, milky eyes dot the school yard like flowers, jerky eyes getting slower, fading dead away.

Vernon God Little by DBC Pierre

I look around at the night; things are liquid-clear, warm and dewy, with a snow of moths and bugs around the porch lilghts, and distant music from the hayride.

Artists page for the Blue Notebook Journal

I decided to use this as an opportunity to make a prototype ‘make your own 3D beetle kit’. As part of my third year I want to make a book about beetles and have a selection of ones that you can cut out and make for yourself. The instructions for this one are vague but the construction is simple. This page will be published in volume 7. of the Blue Notebook Journal.

Delta 32

These are some images of my book Delta 32 I will upload some more and a video of the opening mechanism (it is an orthomorph) when I have finished moving house.

This book is about the evolution of human viral immunity.

The Thy bottle - top badge project

This badge was made for the Thy bottle - top badge project which was started in celebration of the Limfjord Centre's Special Anniversary (to see all the badges press here).

This badge is made from a photograph of a scarab beetle (and if you dismantled the badge you can remake it like a little puzzle). I collect beetles and have recently started using them in my work. The text on the badge refers to a (possibly apocryphal) quote from Darwin that "The creator, if there is one, had an inordinate fondness for beetles". Although the exact wording may not be accurate, as an avid collector himself, I have no doubt that he would have thought the statement to be true.
