Bookmarks VII - Infiltrating the Library System

This set of bookmarks was made for Bookmarks VII. Infiltrating the Library System was initially a one-year project, but so many artists continued to ask if they could join that the Center for Fine Print Research decided to run it on an annual basis. The Bookmarks projects series aim is to encourage appreciation of work in the format of the artist's book. Participating artists each hand-produce an edition of 100 signed and numbered bookmarks to give away through distribution boxes at venues around the world.

I collect x-rays and insects so I decided to combine the two things into one bookmark. I made 5 different X-rays showing insects that come out at night as a tongue in cheek reference to the saying 'like a moth to a flame' because you need to hold them up to a light to see them properly. The form that comes with them is modeled on a GP x-ray request form.
